Plain answers, no legalese
Terms of Use
Last updated: June 26, 2026
I want these to be honest and readable, not a wall of fine print. Here is the deal for using Be Ausome, in plain words. By using the site, you agree to what's below.
Who runs this
Be Ausome (“Be Ausome,” “we,” “us”) is a free service created and operated from Colorado, in the United States, by one parent. There is no company behind it and no one paying to reach you. If you don't agree with these terms, that's okay, please just don't use the site.
What Be Ausome is, and what it isn't
Be Ausome gives you free, printable visual supports, schedules, first-then cards, choice boards, social stories, and similar. It is a general tool, not professional advice.
It is not medical, clinical, behavioral, therapeutic, educational, or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from your child's doctor, therapist, teacher, or other professional. You know your child best, please use your own judgment, and check with the right professional when it matters. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Some suggestions are AI-assisted
To match pictures to the words you type and to suggest steps, the tools use an AI service (Anthropic's Claude). AI can be wrong, miss context, or suggest something that doesn't fit your child. Always read what it produces before you use it. You are in control of the final card.
It's offered “as is”
Be Ausome is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. I work hard to keep it accurate and online, but I can't promise it will always work, be error-free, or be right for a particular purpose.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Be Ausome and its creator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential harm arising from using (or not being able to use) the site, or from any decision made with the help of a tool. Because the service is free, any total liability is limited to the amount you paid to use it, which is nothing.
Some states don't allow certain limits, so part of this may not apply to you. Nothing here is meant to limit anything that can't legally be limited.
Fair use of the site
Please use Be Ausome to help kids. Don't misuse it: no attacking, scraping, or overloading the service, no unlawful use, and don't enter someone else's private information that you don't have the right to share.
What you type, and ideas you send
Whatever you type into a tool stays yours. As explained on the Privacy page, it's processed briefly to build your card and isn't stored by us. If you choose to send us a “moment” idea from the Prepare page, you're giving us permission (a perpetual, royalty-free license) to use that idea to improve the tools, with no name attached.
Our content, and what you make
The site, its original drawings, text, and design belong to Be Ausome. The visual supports you create are yours to use and print freely, at home, in a classroom, in a clinic, anywhere a kid needs them. Please don't resell them, and please don't repackage the tool as your own product.
Other services we rely on
The site runs on a few service providers (hosting and the AI mentioned above), described on the Privacy page. We're not responsible for outside websites you reach through links here.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms now and then; the “last updated” date above shows when. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, to the extent the law allows.
Questions about any of this? Email me at dave@be-ausome.com and I'll give you a straight answer. I'm a dad, not a legal department.
