Going to a restaurant.
Waiting for food, new smells, sitting still in a busy room. Knowing the order of things makes eating out doable.

What to expect
The hardest part of a restaurant is usually the waiting. A plan that names the wait, plus something to do during it, turns the hardest stretch into a known step. Bring a familiar food if the menu is a gamble.
One tip from a dad who's been there
Ask for the check when the food arrives, and bring a quiet activity for the wait. Pick a calmer time (right when they open) for the first few tries.
