A visit to the doctor.
A waiting room, a new person, being looked at and measured. Knowing the steps first takes the surprise out of it.

What to expect
A check-up is mostly looking, listening, and measuring. Telling your child each step, in order, and that some parts feel cold or tickly, takes most of the worry out. You know your kid. Change anything.
One tip from a dad who's been there
Ask the front desk to text you when they're ready so you can wait in the car or outside if the waiting room is too much. Bring the printed schedule so your child can see how far along they are.
